Get to know our neighborhood and what brings us together.
A brief history
Belvoir’s story begins in the early 1900s, when the land was owned by former Chattanooga Mayor William Riley Crabtree and known as Belvoir Farm. After Crabtree’s death in 1920, the property began transitioning from farmland into a residential community, and by the mid-1920s, Belvoir was taking shape as the neighborhood we know today. More than a century later, Belvoir remains known for its tree-lined streets, distinctive homes, neighborhood parks, and the strong sense of community that continues to bring neighbors together.
How we stay connected
We stay connected through neighborhood events, volunteer days, and regular association meetings throughout the year. These gatherings give neighbors a chance to catch up, welcome new faces, and work together on the things that matter most to our community. From seasonal celebrations and family-friendly activities to service projects and planning discussions, there are plenty of ways to get involved. Whether you attend one event or many, each moment spent together helps strengthen the relationships that make our neighborhood feel like home.
